Throughout the Bible, it is evident that music (song) serves as one of the ways God desires His children to worship Him (Isaiah 42:10; Psalm 95:1-2), remember Him and His Word (Deuteronomy 31:19-32:44; Colossians 3:16), and teach and admonish one another (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16). It is most certainly one of the ways in which God's people respond in acknowledgment of, and thankfulness for, His works, character, and attributes (Exodus 15:1-21; Numbers 21:17-18; Judges 5; 2 Samuel 1:17-27; 2 Samuel 22; 1 Chronicles 16:7-36; Psalm 1-150; Luke 1:46-55; Revelation 14:3; 15:3).
